Mark Houghton has been in the dive industry for 15 years and hold the ratings of Instructor Trainer Staff Instructor Trainer the highest ratings in the TDI SDI system.
In the year 2000 Mark worked in SMART RESORT Sipadan for 3 years developing their technical dive center and teaching tech diving.
In 2003 Mark became an SDI TDI Instructor Trainer ( IT ) and started teaching divers to become Instructors. Since then Mark has certified over 100 people to become Recreational Scuba and Technical diving Instructors and also certified a countless number of divers.
In 2007 Mark helped set up the TDI SDI China, Hong Kong & Macau regional office and certified the shareholders as TDI Instructors and on 18th April 2008 Mark helped them attain their SDI IT status in HK’s first IT workshop in which Mark helped teach alongside of TDI SDI president Brian Carney and vice president Sean Harrison.
Mark then worked with the China, Hong Kong & Macau office as the training director until April 2012.
Mark became an IT Staff IT in 2009 and has since then certified a number of people to become SDI IT Staff Instructors.
(This level is the same as becoming a Course Director with PADI & NAUI which allows them to teach the IDC however they cannot sign them off to become Instructors, Mark can sign the IDC candidates to become Open water Instructors once they have passed the Instructor Exam with him.)
On the 6th Jan 2011 Mark became an ERDI Instructor. ERDI teaches government departments the police, fire department, marine police how to do body recovery including underwater body bagging, forensic evidence recovery and contaminated water ops. These course's use dry suit and full face mask.
Mark now travels around Asia Developing new TDI SDI dive centers and training and certifying new TDI SDI Instructors and IT Staff Instructors.

Charlene started diving when she was 10 years old, she is also a Technical diver up to Decompression Procedures and Advanced Wreck diver and became a SDI Open Water Instructor March 2012.
